"Dawn of the Phoenix"

The first part of the piece was entitled "Ashes", reflecting the nature of a recently dead phoenix reassembling, while the second part of the piece "Soar" symbolized the Phoenix as it began to spread its wings in flight.

The piece was a trio of women. The eldest is looking back on the memories of her life as she has aged. The idea was to create a "memory space" that reflected the ethereal quality of memory through color and texture. The piece began and ended in "reality", yet when she leaves, she carries the memories with her.
